Thai Massage is based on 10 main energy lines, out of which “Sen Sumana” is known as the central line of the body and directly linked to the “Sushumna Nadi” from the Yoga tradition.

In this workshop you will receive a beautiful, well rounded sequence throughout the entire body, which goal is to balance Sen Sumana – the central line of the body.

The techniques chosen have their origin in Thai Massage and are influenced by Osteopathy and Craniosacral Therapy.

This workshop is designed for all body workers, manual therapists, yoga students, yoga teachers and all those generally interested in the body and its healing arts.

It will be taught by Zoltan from Hungary, who caries many years of experience in manual therapy – both as a therapist and as a teacher. His authenticity, sincerity and generosity and his huge passion for healing arts are absolutely unique and heart touching.

ABOUT THAI MASSAGE:
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing art based on the principles of yoga philosophy. The practitioner uses the physical body as a tool to access the subtle bodies, in order to bring physical, mental and spiritual healing and balance.
Blockages can be released and the energy restored to its natural flow by the application of rhythmic pressure on energy lines throughout the entire body, the stretching of muscles inspired by yoga-asanas and the mobilization of the main joints.
Because this massage is working on the different body layers (koshas) the release works on an emotional, energetic and physical level. Thai Yoga Massage could be seen as a moving meditation. When performed with awareness, equanimity and loving kindness, practicing Thai Yoga Massage trains the body, the mind and the heart. It becomes a mutual meditation and a powerful energetic exchange with many benefits for both giver and receiver.

ABOUT THE ENERGY LINES
As we talk about energy lines, we are dealing with invisible currents that can be felt and experienced, but cannot be found by dissection anywhere in the body. Any attempt to draw these lines is simply creating a concept, something static out of a living and moving flow. That is helpful for teaching purposes and to illustrate the idea, but no line chart will ever get close to explaining the reality of prana.

So, energy work cannot really be learned from charts, but they are a starting point that allows the intuition for line work to arise. As soon as that has happened, the therapist will simply follow his/her hands, his/her feelings and know what is right for the particular patient.

The sen meridians (from Thai Massage) or prana nadis (from Yoga tradtition) could be explained as rivers of energy, with the major and minor chakras or energy centers being something like whirlpools in the river. The

seven major chakras are situated along the centerline or Sen Sumana, while minor chakras are all over the body.

ABOUT SEN SUMANA
Sen Sumana is the central line of the body and is practically identical to Sushumna Nadi from the Indian ayurvedic system. It is often known as the universal line. Its major quality is that it passes through the seven major chakras. In this way it touches all that one is and all that one has the potential to be.

In a therapeutic approach, working on Sen Sumana can have a positive effect in case of Respiratory Complains (Asthma, Bronchitis, chest pain, spasm of the diaphragm), Heart diseases (physical

and emotional), Disease of the digestive system (nausea, abdominal pain), cold, cough, throat problems, back pain and Charka imbalances.
